Our Calvin Chui recently spoke at the session titled “𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗮𝘂’𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘄: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀, 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀.”
This panel brought together legal experts and industry leaders to discuss the implications of the new law just two months before its implementation.
Alongside distinguished speakers like 𝗔𝗺𝘆 𝗛𝗼 from Monetary Authority of Macau（AMCM）, 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗔𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 A&P Investment Fund Management Company Limited, and Nuno Sardinha da Mata of C&C Lawyers, Rui Proença from MdME, Calvin highlighted the growing market interest in establishing investment fund managers and funds in Macau, emphasizing “This new law, which differs from other financial legislations, is that it actually brings in financial and economic effects even before it comes into effect. It’s already benefitting the professional service world.”
