Delegation from the Liangjiang New District Lawyers’ Working Committee visited Macau Office
Yesterday, we had the honor of hosting a delegation from the Liangjiang New District Lawyers’ Working Committee of the Chongqing Lawyers’ Association for an insightful exchange visit. The purpose of the visit was to explore the development and distinctive features of our Macau law firm, including the background and management model of our joint-venture practice.
Our Pedro Cortés, Chang San Chi, and Calvin Tinlop Chui provided the delegation with a comprehensive overview of our firm’s growth, practice areas, team, and unique services. Serving as a bridge between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, Macau holds a unique legal status and possesses extensive experience in cross-border legal affairs and international commercial matters.
In return, the delegation shared insights into Chongqing’s strengths and characteristics in legal system development and legal services. Both sides emphasized the abundant opportunities for cooperation and development in the legal services field between Macau and Chongqing. There is significant potential to enhance exchanges and collaboration, ultimately fostering the growth and innovation of legal services in both regions.
This productive visit has laid the foundation for strengthening ties between the legal professions of Macau and Chongqing. We look forward to exploring more avenues for fruitful cooperation in the future, creating value for our clients, and contributing to the development of the legal industry.
