The 2023 China-Europe Investment and Financing Law Seminar and Industry Matchmaking Conference, organized by the Association for Chinese Lawyers in Europe, was successfully held in Shenzhen. Our firm was represented by Helena Valente and Ng Lai Ieng, who attended the event. Ng Lai Ieng delivered a presentation on the Portuguese Labour Law. The meeting brought together entrepreneurs and legal experts to discuss various topics, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, investment laws and regulations, compliance risk control, risk management of overseas investment, taxation and social security legal systems, and new regulations on foreign investment review.

In addition to the seminar activities, the participants also had the opportunity to visit local enterprises in Shenzhen, including BGI, Huawei, the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, and our joint venture law firm ZLF.

Overall, the event provided a platform for knowledge exchange and networking among legal professionals and entrepreneurs from China and Europe. The inclusion of site visits to prominent local enterprises added practical insights to the seminar, enhancing the overall experience for the participants.
