Our Lai Ieng Ng was honored to attend the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations between China and Portugal in Lisbon, Portugal. The event was co-organised by the Chinese Embassy in Portugal and the Portuguese-Chinese Parliamentary Friendship Group. It was a significant gathering that brought together representatives from the Chinese and Portuguese governments, parliaments, media, Chinese-funded organizations, and Chinese and international students.

During the event, Ambassador Zhao Bentang delivered a passionate speech, highlighting the friendly exchanges between China and Portugal over the past 45 years. He emphasized the fruitful cooperation between the two countries in various areas such as economy, trade, humanities, and more, and expressed optimism about the future development prospects. Ambassador Zhao also praised the blessing video of Chinese astronauts, considering it a vivid representation of the Sino-Portuguese friendship and technological exchange.

Lai had the opportunity to engage in discussions and exchange views with representatives from various sectors during the event. They explored the future development direction based on the close ties and deep friendship between China and Portugal in various fields.

In the future, we will use our legal expertise to further contribute to the friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and Portugal.
